63 Technology and Innovation Together: T3N-BSB Project Catalogue of Promising and Mature Technologies and Innovations in BSB Published!
In line with the work carried out within the scope of the Interreg NEXT Transnational Technology Transfer Network for Black Sea Basin (T3N-BSB) Project, another output that will make a concrete contribution to technology transfer processes has been successfully completed.
The “Catalogue of Promising and Mature Technologies and Innovations in BSB” has been published, containing a total of 63 technologies developed in Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, which are partners in the project.
This catalogue aims to promote technologies developed at the national level but not yet internationally recognised through broader collaborations in the international arena. During the catalog creation process, each partner country identified technologies with high potential impact within their R&D and innovation ecosystems (Türkiye-18, Greece-10, Bulgaria-15, Romania-20). The catalog for these technologies was created in three stages.
1. Stage: Development of a Multidimensional Analysis Tool
The technologies to be included in the catalogue were determined not only based on recommendations, but also through a scientific analysis process. To this end, the project team developed a Multidimensional Analysis Tool using current approaches in the fields of technology transfer, innovation management and entrepreneurship.
The analysis tool was developed taking into account both academic literature and the field experience of technology transfer experts. Thus, the tool allows for the assessment not only of technological maturity but also of the functionality, impact and commercialisation potential of technologies. The criteria identified include indicators such as technology readiness level (TRL), intellectual property status, market fit, feasibility, sustainability, social contribution, international scalability, and investment return period.
This analytical infrastructure makes it possible to evaluate a wide variety of technologies from different countries within a comparable and measurable framework.

2. Stage: Assessment of Technologies Using a Multidimensional Analysis Tool
Each partner country has identified high-impact technologies from its own R&D and innovation ecosystem. These technologies have been subjected to a standard evaluation process using an advanced analysis tool.
This process was carried out through collaboration between technology developers and technology transfer experts. The evaluation was conducted through digital forms accessed via the Jotform platform, in face-to-face or online sessions.
Each technology has been analysed multidimensionally through scoring-based and guiding questions. This assessment is structured to include not only technical level, but also factors such as social impact, market suitability and investment appeal.
In this way, each technology has been turned into a strategic profile supported by both qualitative and quantitative data.

3. Stage: Creation and Publication of “Catalogue of Promising and Mature Technologies and Innovations in BSB”
The data obtained after the evaluation process was standardised using a joint template and converted into technology profiles. Information about each technology was structured under headings such as brief description, development stage (TRL), application areas, scalability potential, intellectual property status, contact information and expected outputs.
In addition, technologies are classified not only by sector but also by thematic sustainability areas. They are labelled under headings such as blue economy, low-carbon economy, circular economy and climate change adaptation.
Thanks to this structure, the catalogue is not merely a promotional document; it has become a strategic resource that serves as a decision-making tool for investors, public institutions, private sector representatives and researchers.
