"Nature of Aquatic Environment-Inclusion and Rising Awareness in Diverse Societies" Project Team Visited North Macedonia

In the framework of Nature of Aquatic Environment: Inclusion and Rising Awareness in Diverse Societies (NIDA) project, an Erasmus+ KA220 project awarded funding as part of the 2024 call, the project team continues their work. Our academic staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şebnem ATASARAL from the department of Fisheries Technology Engineering, is the project coordinator, and she is joined by Prof. Dr. Ertan DÜZGÜNEŞ from the department of Landscape Architecture as a project team member. KTU Technolgy Transfer Office assisted with the project writing phase.

NIDA project team visited the project partner St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola University in North Macedonia and was hosted by the Rector Prof. Dr. Sc. Igor NEDELKOVSKI. During the meeting, the team had the opportunity to provide information about the project and express their satisfaction with the collaboration of St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola University.

The NIDA project aims to analyze the negative impacts of climate change on aquatic ecosystems and create a digital atlas. In addition, university students will be given awareness training with the aim of raising informed environmentalist volunteers.
