Our University Hosted the VII. International Accounting and Finance Symposium
Our university hosted the VII International Accounting and Finance Symposium organized with the participation of many academicians from Turkiye and abroad.
The VII. International Accounting and Finance Symposium took place at Prof. Dr. Osman Turan Cultural and Congress Center. In addition to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, many invited guests, members of the Symposium Organizing Committee, members of the Scientific Committee, and representatives from the accounting and finance industry attended the symposium. In his opening speech, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ÇUVALCI, expressed that such programs promote academic networking, provide opportunities for young researchers, and emphasized the importance and support of KTU for symposiums within this framework.
The Symposium will Expand Collaborations
Addressing the participants, our Rector, Prof. Dr. ÇUVALCI, stated, “Without knowing the language of business, which is accounting, our chances of success in making decisions will be low. Therefore, the contribution of accounting and finance sciences in recording, reporting, analyzing, and presenting accounting information, which forms the basis for economic activities, is crucial. I wish the symposium to lead the way in accounting and finance research and contribute to the development of international collaborations in this field.”
17 Sessions, Over 50 Presentations
More than 100 academicians from Turkiye and abroad participated in the Symposium held between November 1-4. In the event, more than 50 presentations were made in 17 sessions, and important issues such as maritime transportation, Port and Ship Management, Waste Management, Fisheries, Renewable Energy, Marine Pollution were discussed by academicians. This symposium contributed to science by mediating the sharing and development of scientific studies, practices, and experiences in the fields of accounting and finance.
